...more team time during retreats to work on the project tasks they already know to do, without new work introduced.
--Time to work with my colleagues and get down to brass tacks on planning for improvements. I think that these three components (Formative Ass. FIG, classroom observations) are pieces of institutional excellence that I have always wanted but never had an opportunity to experience. If this project accomplishes just one of these structures successfully, then i will be very happy. I'm hopeful that all 3 can be accomplished.

--Having time to work with other from my school and others in developing our action plan for this next year. It was especially helpful to hear from people outside our department (other schools, guest speakers, Washington Center) in helping our team focus our questions and goals.
...giving more time for teams to work independently. I felt that the first two days consisted of too many talks and we were in too much of a passive role. While I thoroughly enjoyed all of the talks, the schedule could be rearranged so as to keep the energy level high.
